Blake’s wild watercolors (painted in about 1807) delight in depicting the muscular immensity of Satan, spying on Adam and Eve and coaxing them to sin. The painting was made around 1867 and now belongs to the Muse d’Orsay, which has one of the most varied and prestigious collections of French. Illustrators of Paradise Lost have often drawn more from the poem’s infernal depths than its heavenly heights. " Pandæmonium" (in some versions of English " Pandemonium") stems from the Greek "παν", meaning "all" or "every", and "δαιμόνιον", a diminutive form meaning "little spirit", "little angel", or, as Christians interpreted it, "little daemon", and later, " demon". Paradise Lost, also known as The Expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Paradise, is a beautiful 121.9 x 94 cm (47.9 x 37 in) oil on canvas by the 19th-century French painter Alexandre Cabanel. Pandæmonium is the capital of Hell in John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost.
